CoolSculpting® vs SculpSure

rectangle February 25, 2019 /

Two, well-known treatments, CoolSculpting®  and SculpSure; each with a different approach to fat reduction. However, in our eyes, there is only one true solution and that’s CoolSculpting®!

In a Nutshell

CoolSculpting® works by freezing fat cells to their death through a process called apoptosis. Over time, your body naturally processes the fat and eliminates the dead cells. SculpSure heats cells until they die.  They are then processed and eliminated by the body. Both methods destroy fat cells they sound similar, but are not.

A Closer Look

When compared there are significant differences. Although both treatments aim to destroy stubborn fat cells, the method used for each treatment can result in significantly different outcomes.

FDA-cleared CoolSculpting® has been widely used since 2010 with more than seven million treatments have been performed.  SculpSure has only been around for a few years. CoolSculpting® has little to no downtime and the treatment is FDA-cleared for more areas than any of its competitors. CoolSculpting® is FDA-cleared for treatment of visible fat bulges in the submental and submandibular areas, thigh, abdomen, flank, along with bra fat, back fat, underneath the buttocks (also known as banana roll) and upper arm. It is also FDA-cleared to affect the appearance of lax tissue with submental area treatments.

SculpSure is only FDA-cleared to treat a fraction of those areas. Reviews of SculpSure indicate that patients risk damaging underlying tissue, including the muscles. CoolSculpting®is the treatment doctors use most for nonsurgical fat reduction.  There have been hundreds of positive reviews by real patients who love their results. With CoolSculpting®, patients can see up to 20-25% fat reduction in the treated area. While the results can take up to three months some patients are able to see results in as early as three weeks! That being said, the most dramatic results can be seen within one to three months following treatment.

It’s Up to You

It’s up to you to decide if you want to join the millions who have experienced results with CoolSculpting® or take a shot on the relatively unpredictable SculpSure.

Come in for a consultation and see how you can be like Helena, a CoolSculpting® patient who says that the procedure helped her be more “herself” by making her exterior match how she felt on the inside.

To determine whether you’re a candidate for CoolSculpting®, schedule your complimentary consultation at any of our Sona locations today!
