Ask The Expert: 7 Questions with Casey Dark, Senior Skin Consultant

Here at Sona MedSpa, the focus of our entire team is ensuring that our clients achieve the best possible results and have an outstanding customer experience.  Our Skin Consultants play an important role in making this happen by creating a personalized solution for each client’s needs. They are experts in Laser Hair Removal, Laser Skin Rejuvenation and Body Contouring. Through their experience and knowledge, they are able to recommend the treatment plan best suited to address individual concerns.

We recently spent a few minutes with Casey Dark, a Senior Skin Consultant and Aesthetician at our Cary, NC center to get a personal point of view.

How do you introduce clients to the range of Sona’s services?
I listen … because we have something for everyone! Once I hear their concerns I know which direction to take.

How do clients maintain their results?

SkinMedica products, Chemical Peels and/or maintenance treatments from time to time help maintain results. But of course, sunblock and staying hydrated is key to keeping your skin looking fresh and youthful.

Can you tell us about your professional background and how you landed at Sona?

I decided I wanted to pursue a career in aesthetics so I went to school and got my license. I intentionally sought out Sona based on my research of a reputable company to work with. I have held several positions at the company, which I believe gives me unique perspective on how we can best serve our clients at Sona.

What would you say makes Sona MedSpa different from other med spas?

The results and the focus on client satisfaction and the understanding that those two things go hand-in-hand.

What concerns do clients normally have before their first treatment and how do you make them feel comfortable?

This really goes back to the first question/answer – I show compassion for the way they are feeling and then focus on the education to help provide a level of comfort to ease their nerves and help them understand how it WILL work.

Can you talk about a rewarding client transformation that you have seen?

There are so many! In fact, I have seen more than one client in tears of joy with the outcome of their services, whether it be from our Laser 360 package, or a man who is no longer embarrassed taking his kids to the pool and taking his shirt off (he had laser hair removal on his entire back), or a woman who sent us her wedding picture in her strapless dress with very kind words about what our AFT treatments did for her on her big day. There are truly so many stories like this and it’s why I love my job here. We genuinely help people feel better about themselves and it’s very rewarding.

Do Sona clients recommend us to their friends?

Yes, even if unintentionally. I often say that “referrals” come very easy because our clients find themselves talking about how excited they are about their services and results and anyone who is listening is going to want to be a part of what we have to offer.
